Week 7 Day 1

Hello Everyone,
Here I am still in St. Petersburg and this afternoon I will be driving about an hour and a half to visit Nick. Can't wait to see him and where he is now living.
Lynn seems to be on the road to recovery after a doctor visit and Tim is still coughing. Sure hope the rest of us don't catch the bug.
St. Petersburg is a beautiful area, I am not sure which part is my favorite so far downtown or St. Pete's beach but my favorite restaurant/bar is Philthy Phils (great margaritas).
Today is a serious rest day for me. Jamie was in town so we walked jog at least 5 miles the 2 days she was here and also played tennis. Thank goodness we sat the rest of the evening because I have an ankle injury and can barely walk. It is tough falling apart when this type of exercise use to be the norm. Can't believe how much I hurt after hitting the tennis ball.
We have to leave the library so I will keep you all posted on the Nick visit.
Love,
deb

Week 6 Day 5

Welcome from St. Petersburg, Florida,
Here we are sitting in the local community library so we can use our computers. Lynn is frustrated because she can not connect and here I am typing away with dual snot sniffing from Tim and Lynn. It is like having surround sound. Poor things but they keep plugging along and entertaining mom and I. We went back to St. Pete's beach and hopefully will be returning this afternoon with Jamie and Clarence to walk the beach. You can walk for miles and hopefully you can see some of the beauty from the pic.
Not really keeping up with the challenge. Surviving might become my new challenge.
Hope you are doing well, Teece sure wish you were here with the kids.
Love to all,
deb

Week 6 second message of the day

Hello Again,

We started at Starbuck's and are ending the day at the same Starbuck's. Teece, sorry I wanted to upload your kids pictures but for some reason they will not upload into the blog, so I made up for it with Schweitzer pictures.
We had a wonderful day in downtown St. Petersberg. What a beautiful downtown with a great walking path which I am anxious to walk sometime in the next couple of days. The eating and drinking has been fun, yesterday we were drinking (mom 3 bloody marys fell asleep on the way home) and eating at Philthy Phil's how can anyone resist a place with a name like that.
Today we had cuban food delicious!
As you can tell more emphasis is being put on the intake and not on the output.
Well, unemployment is a drag.
Love,
deb

Week 6 From the lousy blogger

Hello Everyone,
Here I am in sunny Florida and most of the time I have been freezing my ass off. Today it is suppose to be warm and Tim is wearing shorts.
Lynn and I are duelling computers at Starbucks and mom and Tim are reading and doing crossword puzzles.
In meeting my challenge requirements Jamie and I ran walk 5 miles two times this last week and yesterday we walked miles on a beautiful beach in St. Pete's.
Ok, here is the confession I was a truly royal bitch on my birthday and I apologize to anyone who got in the way. Mom has let me know how un-nice I was and all I can say is I'm not really sorry I feel I have a right to be a bitch once in awhile (you go girl).
I'm not going to reread this so there will be plenty of mistakes (sorry).
Teece, I'm so excited about the Cierra skiing so well her pictures are darling. and Chase looks like the hotshot that he is.
Nick is in God knows where, he will back Sunday evening and I am hoping to meet him Monday.

Well we are going to be tourists.
Love ya all,
deb

week 5 Day 2

Hello Everyone,

Cruising for her 82nd birthday; way to go mom. I hope she has a wonderful birthday and it was really nice of you Jamie to throw a birthday party. I wish I could of been there.
Last week my life was a little crazy. He appears things are working out and Nick will be staying in florida. I'm really happy things are turning around. Believe it or not I'm not that anxious to see where he lives and goes to school. I think it is good for him to be away have new experiences and be on his own. I'm just trying to get the energy to clean up the mess he left behind in his room. Yikes how can anyone collect so much crap?
Lynn, does this mean you get to collect unemployment? What about the other position you mentioned with the same company? Teece, I'm sorry you are working those 7 day a week work weeks. The weather is so bizzare everywhere. It is very cold here everyone wears coats and scarfs, not the usual winter wear here.
Ok, the challenge I have backed off this last week. I had so mjuch pain I think I did to much to soon. This last week I took some time off did a little pilaties and could not even walk because it hurt to much. Yesterday was the first day I walked and it was only for a mile. Today I'm going to try to walk two miles whopee!
Her's a newsflash I am planning on going to Florida I will be taking advantage of Lynn and Tim and visiting Nick.
Love ya all,
deb

Week 4 Day 1

Hello Everyone,
It is five minutes into the 4th week of the challenge and I am in serious trouble. My knees are killing me! I hate to admit this but maybe old age is setting in. I ran walked 4 miles today (mostly walked), and I was in pain the whole route.
Lynn, I'm happy to see that you are back to the exercise and in my eyes you are skinny enough!
Jamie, you go girl, I am happy to see that you are doing so well in the training and not using the F@#$@! word.
Teece, all I can say is I also love the stories and you are going to have your hands full with little girls after your baby boy! Watch out!

Well I did send my baby boy off to the wilds of Florida. It is comforting to know that mom and Jamie are close by in case of emergency. As of right now all I know is that he landed safely and I did not hear from him again so I think that must mean someone picked him up at the airport. I have attached a few pictures from dropping him off at the airport and tolerating his mother to allow her to take a picture.
Saturday night we went out to dinner for Nick's send off to Florida with Joe (yes, joe!), Tiffany and Jake, Jacqueline (Nick's girlfriend?), Nick and myself . I had Tiff take a few pictures if they turn out I will post so you can see the girlfriend.
Wednesday I have a meeting with a biotech company regarding a position that they have. Not sure if this would be a fit or even the money would be close but it is good to go through the motions of an interview.
I am enjoying working with the non-profit doing their strategic planning. I have needed to get the brain juices flowing again and this really helps and the work is also enjoyable. To bad it is gratis.
Well all I need to go to bed love you all,
deb

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone!
Here it is January 2nd and we are now into the 4th week of the challenge. Most of us have not kept with the training program and that is fine what is important is to keep exercising. This is what I'm telling myself to try to motivate myself to run three miles today. The truth is it is 1:26 pm in the afternoon I am sitting up on my bed with the tv on and trying to take the steps of finding a job. The technology is amazing where we really don't need to leave my bed just keep posing my resume writing letters and getting more depressed by the minute.

Well I'm sure each of you have made resolutions and if I don't post mine I will probably not stick to it. So here goes:
1) find a job
2) find my religion
3) find something I'm passionate about
4) exercise
5) I will be seeing Europe for the first time in my life.
6) expand my horizons with people (need to make new friends)
Definitely not exciting but it is areas I need working on.
Last night I was lucky enough to go out to dinner with both of my kids. I can't tell you the last time the three of us have been alone and having dinner together. Mom we went to Chevy's bar. Teece, you remember that is where John won the Chili contest. What was even more amazing is that Nick paid for the dinner. Wow! Thank you Nick. Neither were impressed with my resolutions to say the least; other then getting a job.

I still want to address the meeting of the four of us. I know things need to settle for Teece and Jimbo you won't be happy with this but if Teece goes to Florida it will be with her family. It won't be a sister trip. I would really like to see the Wulff girls get together in 2007.

Well here is to love, laughter and happiness for all of us in 2007.
Love you all,
deb

Week 3 Day 6

Hello Fam and Happy New Year!
I still have not committed to my life changes for 2007. But I am narrowing down the possibilities. Where has the year gone? I feel lucky because I have had the opportunity to spend time with each of you during 2006. Hopefully we can all be together in 2007. That brings me to a very important point; Lynn and I have both brought up the sister get together, now it is time for the two younger sisters to commit to a time and a place.
Today I ran 3 miles continuously on the road. Yeah me! Now I can't move my bod but I feel I am committed to the training challenge. It is not easy to keep to the training program.
Lynn, congratulations on the new laptop, how exciting. Nick and I purchased a computer program for the Ipod that allows you to transfer music from your Ipod to computer. It was only about $10. What would be great if you purchased the program is the opportunity to transfer all of your kids music from their Ipods to your computer. Sure would give you a large music library. Without having to buy all that music. I bought the program from Circuit City.
Well I'm meeting some friends for dinner.
Lynn, thanks for sending the Christmas pictures.

Love you all, deb
